Jacobs is seeking an RCDD Communications Systems Designer in Arlington, Virginia. This role requires at least 5 years of experience in communications systems design for buildings, along with an active Secret security clearance. Responsibilities include technical design for telecommunications and security systems, as well as preparing engineering drawings and specifications. The position offers a salary range of $125,000 to $180,000 and includes a hybrid working policy for optimal collaboration while valuing in-person interactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with communications systems for buildings.
• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Self-motivation to coordinate with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design for telecommunications, electronic security, and audio-visual systems.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Complete project assignments with minimal supervision.

Skills

Experience with communications systems for buildings

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong interpersonal and time-management skills

Familiarity with ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards

Familiarity with CSI Divisions 27 & 28

Education

High School diploma or equivalent
