Location: Remote or On-Site

Hourly Pay: $18.00

This position is bonus eligible

Training Schedule: Mo-Fr 8am-5pm Central

Work Schedule: Mo-Fr 8hrs/day, Full-Time, Flex hrs 7am-7pm Central

JOB SUMMARY

The Medical Billing – Revenue Cycle – Call Center – Attorney Involvement Specialist is responsible for providing empathetic and professional customer service in an active call center environment while working directly with an individual’s legal counsel or representative to resolve outstanding balances. This position is also responsible for researching and filing open probate/estate claims and negotiating settlements with legal representation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  • Take inbound calls assisting customers with billing inquiries.
  • Make outbound calls to validate active insurance coverage.
  • Collect outstanding balances.
  • Document billing activity accurately.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of one (1) year working in a call center environment
  • Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience
  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
  • Must possess empathic and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience of computers and related technology, at an intermediate level

Preferred Experience:

  • Healthcare/Revenue Cycle billing experience
  • Knowledge of health care billing compliance regulations (basic)
  • Knowledge and understanding of payor Explanation of Benefit (basic)
  • Collections experience
  • Sales experience
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills

Preferred Education:

  • High school diploma
  • GED
  • Or significant, relevant work experience
