Wadsworth City Schools Grizzly Academy in Wadsworth, OH is hiring a RBT Special Ed Aide at the HS/MS level. The role runs 186 days with 6.5 hours per day from 7:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. The pay scale is $19.54 to $25.11 per hour.

Requirements include ESEA Educational Aide Permit through ODE, associate degree or higher or 48 college hours, and ParaPro assessment as applicable. Training includes 40 hours RBT plus competency check, and CPR/First Aid/CPI training with ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain an Educational Aide Permit through the Ohio Department of Education with the ESSA endorsement.
• Complete mandated RBT training (40 hours) and competency assessment by BCBA/BCaBA.
• Track data and report to the behavior specialist and classroom teacher.
• Maintain minimum supervision requirements (2 meetings/month).
• Able to use a computer and possess good organizational skills.
• Attend restraint training per ORC.

Responsibilities

• Work with administration, classroom teachers, behavior specialists, and parents to support students with disabilities during the school day.
• Provide individualized attention to students to help achieve goals outlined in IEPs.
• Collaborate on implementing behavior plans and supporting behavior needs.
• Record and report data as directed.
