Job summary

• Ability to work effectively with children and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards.
• Strong skills in data collection, behavior management, and behavior intervention strategies.
• Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to engage clients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavioral therapy techniques rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to foster independence.
• Collect and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
• Support teaching sessions tailored to individual needs, utilizing evidence-based strategies for skill acquisition.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans aligned with each client's goals.
• Provide patient care with empathy and professionalism, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement behavioral therapy techniques rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, and hygiene, to foster independence
• Collect and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
• Support teaching sessions tailored to individual needs, utilizing evidence-based strategies for skill acquisition
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans aligned with each client's goals
• Provide patient care with empathy and professionalism, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for clients

Requirements:

• Experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or special education is highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD)

• Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to engage clients and their families effectively

• Prior experience working within behavioral health or medical settings is advantageous
