Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 60 college hours preferred.
• Valid Missouri teaching certificate preferred; paraprofessional requirements.
• RBT license preferred; MANDT training annually; Substitute Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assists with individualized assessment procedures (e.g. curriculum-based, developmental, social skills, functional) for assessing challenges.
• Collect data (e.g. frequency, duration, interval sampling) to provide an accurate picture of behavior.
• Communicates with teachers, parents, family members and other personnel to convey and receive information.
• Documents observations of student performance in academic and school activities for written records.
• Guides students in social interactions and problem-solving to build confidence and self-esteem.
• Implements procedures based on the skill acquisition plan (discrete-trial teaching, naturalistic teaching, shaping, etc.).
• Maintains manual and electronic instructional files and records (session notes, data, etc.).
• Monitors students' behavior plans and performance; provides feedback to students and staff per IEPs.
• Participates in meetings and in-service presentations to share information relevant to job functions.
• Prepares written/electronic documents and materials for reporting activities and conveying information.
• Trains teachers in procedures to ensure fidelity of implementation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to support instructional functions.
