Job summary

Paso Robles Joint Unified School District is seeking a Paraeducator - Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for K-12 Special Education support. This 6-hour-per-day, 193-day contract is part-time and classified, with pay determined by experience and a district salary schedule.

The role supports a certificated teacher under the supervision of SPED staff, helping implement IEPs, prepare materials, and provide targeted interventions for students with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required; pass basic skills paraeducator examination in reading, writing and mathematics.
• Minimum of three years of experience working with special education students in classroom or clinical settings.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of Special Education students.
• Prepare instructional materials and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Provide routine clerical support and document interventions; train others and implement behavior intervention plans.
