Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals to supervise and support individuals with complex needs in New Jersey. You will implement tailored care plans, assist with daily activities, and ensure safety in diverse settings.

Training includes behavior support, trauma-informed care, and data collection to monitor progress. Applicants should have a HS diploma or equivalent, be prepared to obtain RBT certification within a year, and possess effective

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; valid driver’s license may be required.
• Must obtain RBT certification within one year of appointment.
• Basic written and verbal communication and basic computer skills (email, Workday).
• Interpersonal and problem-solving abilities essential for teamwork and safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervision, care and safety of individuals at all times in accordance with plans.
• Support learning, fire safety training, and escalation of risk per plan.
• Implement Behavior Support Plans and maintain documentation and data entry.
• Coordinate with team to ensure person-centered, trauma-informed care.
• Assist with daily living activities and transportation as needed.

Education
