Job summary

Rosenbauer America in Minnesota is seeking a Chassis Line Supervisor to oversee workflow, output, and scheduling in the chassis department. You will drive production efficiency, mentor team members, and coordinate with the production manager to meet project milestones.

• Extensive experience with Chassis Line department.
• Extensive knowledge of fire truck products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage workflow, output and schedule of the department.
• Continuously improve production processes and team development.
• Update managers on project progress and exchange parts as needed.
• Writes performance reviews and work with HR to address worker related issues.
• Inspects reviews of trucks to confirm each truck meets its specs and quality standards.
• Manages inventory of tools and parts, creating POs as necessary and keep department running smoothly.
• Keeps everyone safe by enforcing all employees to follow strict safety guidelines and have a clean work environment.
• Ensures Company goals and objectives are met through consistent support and application of Company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the supervisor to meet the needs of the department.

Position Summary

The Chassis Line Supervisor will manage the workflow, output, and schedule of the department. They will continuously improve production processes and team member’s development. The Chassis Line Supervisor will update the production manager and other department heads of your departments progress on given project and exchange parts as needed. Also, they will write performance reviews and work with HR to address worker related issues as they occur.

Essential Functions

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s):

Knowledge, Education, And/or Experience

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Extensive experience with Chassis Line department required.
• Extensive hands-on fire truck-product knowledge from either a manufacturing or fire department perspective preferred.
