POSITION SUMMARY
The Cab Line Assembler will install a variety of new components into the newly made fire truck cab including floors, door components, lights, wire harnesses, and windows. The Cab Line Assembler will mount a variety of equipment both inside and outside of the cab.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Install interior metal and vinyl trim, speakers, and dome lights in cab.
- Crimps and connects wires and electrical components, routing of harnesses in and under cab, and pinning and depinning of connectors.
- Reads and interprets wiring diagrams/schematics.
- Wires the air pumps, dash components, and fuse box to complete the electrical components within the cab.
- Install seats, light bars, warning lights, cameras, and other components on the cab.
- Installs floor matting and insulation, on exterior and interior of cab.
- Build door assembly including all internal components, such as regulators, mirrors, rods, locks, and door glass for assembly on cab.
- Installs HVAC systems, including condensers, evaporators, vents, and coolant lines.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.

QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s)
Knowledge
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Strong mechanical and technical ability required.
- Experience assembling tractors, boats, cars, and similar vehicle types preferred.
- Low voltage experience preferred.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
Skills
- Language: Able to read and work from diagrams/spec books.
- Language: Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately.
- Language: Able to follow written and verbal directions.
- Math: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Computer: Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process.
Abilities
- Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed.
- Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
- Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
- Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.
