Job summary

RTX is seeking a hands-on hardware/firmware engineering professional based in Goleta, CA, to support the Electronic Warfare Systems group. The role involves digital design, embedded systems, and FPGA development for airborne, naval, and land-based applications.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. This 1st shift, 100% onsite role offers relocation eligibility and competitive compensation.

Responsibilities

• Support work in the Hardware/Firmware Engineering Department at the Electronic Warfare Systems.
• Support work on new product development based on descriptions and specifications provided by our customers.
• Partner with integrated product teams to design, develop, and manufacture complex state-of-the-art systems for airborne, naval, and land-based military applications.
• Activities include detailed digital design, embedded systems, and FPGA development.
• Complete specific tasks including circuit analysis, circuit simulation, FPGA programming, design documentation, design verification and testing, and integration of hardware and software at the level of electronic components and circuit boards.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with basic lab equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.).
• Experience using engineering tools (i.e. Vivado, Quartus, etc.) for design (i.e. VHDL, Verilog, etc.).

• Relocation Eligibility

The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
