Job summary

UNITED STATES SUGAR MANUFACTURING is seeking a Temporary Raw Sugar Warehouse Operator to run the VHP dryer and related sugar-handling systems in a 24/7 plant. You will operate dump trucks, loaders, and conveyors, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safe, compliant operations in a high-output environment.

The role requires physical fitness, English fluency, and the ability to withstand outdoor and industrial conditions.

Qualifications

Must pass company-designated tests measuring basic skills and aptitude.
Must be 18+ with a good work and disciplinary history.
Must read, write and speak English to follow instructions and communicate safely.
Past 12 months of full-time operating heavy equipment in the past 5 years is required.
Health and fitness to perform the essential duties, including climbing and lifting.
Ability to obtain skidsteer, forklift and boomlift certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

Operate the VHP dryer to meet product quality specs.
Handle sugar via scales and conveyors between warehouses.
Drive dump trucks and pay loaders to load, transport and stack sugar.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
Assist in mechanical repairs and troubleshoot issues.
Document equipment status and maintenance performed.
Maintain clean, hazard-free work areas and clear communications with Shift Manager.
Report issues and safety concerns immediately.
