Prairie Farms Dairy, Inc. in Hammond, LA is seeking a Raw Milk Receiver to ensure safe receipt, testing, unloading and wash preparation of incoming raw milk tankers. This full-time role supports product quality, food safety, regulatory compliance and plant safety standards.

You will perform sampling, testing, and documentation, maintain CIP records, and uphold GMP and sanitation requirements in a fast-paced dairy environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Chemical Safety Training completed within the past 12 months.
• Knowledge of GMP.
• Ability to comply with GMP and sanitation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Verify back and dome seals against paperwork.
• Confirm wash tag information and wash time limits.
• Inspect the dome area for contaminants before opening inner lid.
• Visually inspect incoming milk for discoloration, foreign material, odors.
• Collect milk samples using sanitary techniques.
• Conduct testing: water adulteration, beta-lactam, aflatoxin (when applicable).
• Maintain State certification requirements for Raw Milk Receivers.
• Unload tankers after meeting receiving and quality standards.
• Document receiving activities, test results, and silo assignments.
• Prepare tankers for washing and monitor CIP systems.
