Job summary

The Compleat Food Group is seeking a Group Raw Material Technologist for our Crewe site. You will sign off and maintain raw materials specifications, including packaging and consumables, and ensure all suppliers meet food safety, quality, and legal criteria.

Key duties include updating specification templates, obtaining accreditation documentation (BRC, SAQs, HACCP), conducting supplier risk assessments, and supporting audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Technical experience within food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of QMS and food safety systems.
• Experience of raw material specifications & associated quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for raw material specifications (ingredients, packaging & consumables) and their review against customer codes of practice and ensuring fit for purpose.
• Update specifications templates (software or MS Office) and obtain product-specific approvals and supplier documentation.
• Complete supplier risk assessments to ensure compliance with customer and BRC requirements and maintain audit readiness.
• Assist in maintaining supplier documentation to support due diligence and audits; liaise with NPD & Procurement for supplier inputs.
