Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Kings Mountain, NC is expanding its manufacturing team and seeks a Raw Material Utility to support packaging operations and material handling on a rotating schedule. This hands-on role focuses on palletizing, data entry, and production support to maintain smooth operations on the floor.

Candidates should be able to stand long hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and obtain forklift certification on day one.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer and data entry skills for tracking and monitoring equipment performance.
• Forklift experience and the ability to obtain a certification on day one.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in a fast-paced production environment.
• Spanish-speaking preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

At Utz Quality Foods, we have expanded our Kings Mountain, NC manufacturing facility and looking for a dedicated Raw Material Utility to join our team. This hands‑on role will involve material handling, operating palletizing equipment, and supporting our packaging operations to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.

Rotating Schedule

Monday-Thursday and Monday & Wednesday 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety standards to maintain a zero-accident culture on the production floor.
• Operate and adjust robotic palletizers and production equipment, ensuring proper programming for new products and specifications.
• Accurately track and enter pallet data into our data collection systems and complete inventory control logs.
• Review production schedules, move pallets from the production area to the warehouse, and ensure materials are staged for the next shift.
• Ensure labeling and barcoding are correct and address any packaging quality issues with attention to detail.
• Ensure that equipment and work areas are cleaned and well‑maintained.

Requirements

• Understanding of food safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer and data entry skills for tracking and monitoring equipment performance.
• Forklift experience and the ability to obtain a certification on day one.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while staying organized and detail‑oriented.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast‑paced, production environment.
• Spanish‑speaking preferred but not required, to support diverse team communication.
