Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Kings Mountain, NC, is hiring a Raw Material Utility to support packaging operations and production processes. You will handle materials, operate palletizing equipment, and ensure accurate data entry and inventory logging. The role requires safety compliance and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Day-one forklift certification is preferred and training is provided. Excellent teamwork and attention to detail are essential in a fast-paced facility with a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust robotic palletizers and production equipment with proper programming for new products.
• Accurately track pallet data and complete inventory control logs.
• Move pallets from production to warehouse and stage materials for next shift.
• Ensure labeling and barcoding accuracy and address packaging quality issues.
• Maintain clean and well-maintained equipment and work areas.

Job Description

At Utz Quality Foods, we have expanded our Kings Mountain, NC manufacturing facility and looking for a dedicated Raw Material Utilityto join our team. This hands-on role will involve material handling, operating palletizing equipment, and supporting our packaging operations to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.

Rotating Schedule: Monday-Thursday and Monday & Wednesday 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to safety standards to maintain a zero-accident culture on the production floor.
• Operate and adjust robotic palletizers and production equipment, ensuring proper programming for new products and specifications.
• Accurately track and enter pallet data into our data collection systems and complete inventory control logs.
• Review production schedules, move pallets from the production area to the warehouse, and ensure materials are staged for the next shift.
• Ensure labeling and barcoding are correct and address any packaging quality issues with attention to detail.
• Ensure that equipment and work areas are cleaned and well-maintained.

Requirements:

• Understanding of food safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer and data entry skills for tracking and monitoring equipment performance.
• Forklift experience and the ability to obtain a certification on day one.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while staying organized and detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, production environment.
• Spanish-speaking preferred but not required, to support diverse team communication.
