Responsibilities

  • Develop knowledge of rating 1–3 lines of business using automated and manual methods.
  • Accurately issue policies, quotes, endorsements, and transactions for small and middle-market businesses.
  • Collaborate with Underwriters and Underwriting Technicians to ensure timely and accurate product delivery.
  • Utilize automated systems (POS, PMS, ACT) and manual methods for rating and issuance tasks.
  • Interpret issuance and rating instructions for various transactions, including new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
  • Provide customer service support by handling inquiries, resolving errors, and addressing requests.
  • Stay updated on compliance, procedural, system, and workflow changes.
  • Foster strong relationships with underwriting teams and act as a resource for high-priority tasks.
  • Serve as the "Account Owner" for assigned package policies, ensuring coordinated issuance.
  • Participate in projects, focus groups, and mentoring activities as assigned.

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Rating Specialist to join a team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in rating multiple lines of business while collaborating with underwriting teams to deliver accurate and timely insurance products.

Compensation Package
  • Hourly Rate: $21.00/hour during the temporary period.
  • Conversion Salary: $45,000 annually upon permanent hire.
