Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Responsible for telephone and written communication to clarify information needed to process items correctly.
• Process all types of transactions for all commercial lines including renewals, amendments, cancellations, new business quotations.
• Orders reports and obtains information as determined by underwriting staff such as loss control reports and motor vehicle reports.
• Provide general support to the underwriting staff with duties such as correspondence to agents, obtaining information and file organization.
• Work under general supervision with a limited degree of creativity and latitude.

RATING ASSOCIATE

IMT Insurance is hiring for a Rating Associate to work within a team to process commercial lines new business quotations renewals amendments and cancellations IMT is looking for an individual who possesses strong interpersonal skills and communicates effectively with internal and external customers The ideal applicant must be driven eager to learn through continuous learning opportunities and have excellent customer service skills to adhere to our agents needs and the departments customer service standards

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Provide professional customer service to internal and external customers

Responsible for telephone and written communication to clarify information needed to process items correctly

Process all types of transactions for all commercial lines of business including renewals amendments cancellations new business quotations and any other transactions

Orders reports and obtains information as determined by underwriting staff such as loss control reports and motor vehicle reports

Provides general support to the underwriting staff with miscellaneous duties such as sending correspondence to the agent assist with obtaining needed information and maintaining file organization

Responsible for correspondence as needed

Work under general supervision a limited degree of creativity and latitude is required

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Detail oriented including ability to concentrate on work activities eg keying and proofing
• Possesses strong organizational time management and prioritizing skills
• Basic knowledge of underwriting terminology
• Good written and verbal communication skills with strong customer service skills and phone etiquette required
• Ability to use computerized rating and policy issuance systems Microsoft Office Products and function in a personal computer network environment
• Ability to problem solve and use critical thinking skills to analyze and make decisions on complex situations
• A high school diploma or equivalency is needed to perform normal functions

The salary range for this position is 3800000 4700000 Starting salary will depend on level of experience This position is not eligible for tips or commission but may be eligible for additional bonuses
