Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a motivated Financial Analyst-Rates to join the U.S. Rates and Regulatory Department.

The role focuses on designing interstate natural gas transportation and storage rates, with responsibilities spanning financial analysis, forecasting, and supporting regulatory filings. The successful candidate will build advanced Excel models, analyze data, and work with Marketing, Accounting and other groups to support business initiatives and strategic decisions for regulated pipeline

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience with financial statements and accounting concepts.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and disciplines.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative ability in economics, finance or accounting.
  • Ability to build and maintain complex Excel models with advanced formulas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update Excel models to analyze volume and cost data for rate design.
  • Develop and update financial spreadsheet models and modernization projects.
  • Provide research and analysis on financial and regulatory projects and present findings.
  • Support pipeline rate-making strategy in an integrated team.
  • Assist in preparing filings for regulatory agencies and apply findings to initiatives.
  • Help drive modernization program strategies for assigned assets.
