Job summary

SpaceX in McGregor, TX is seeking a Propulsion Technician (Raptor Test) for the night shift. You will assemble, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain flight and development engines, test stands, and related equipment while supporting engineers with process improvements.

Responsibilities include performing engine hardware tests, reading instructions/drawings, and ensuring safety and quality across test operations. Must be able to travel and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of experience with mechanical systems or high-pressure systems.
• 3+ years of experience using power tools and calibrated tooling.

Responsibilities

• Perform staging, setup, assembly, tests, and installation of hardware for flight, qualification, and development engines.
• Read and interpret work instructions and drawings.
• Prepare test articles, test stands, and systems for test operations.
• Ensure all build, integration, and test stand related equipment, systems, and servicing are performed safely and on time.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and instrumentation as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop and document activities and processes.
• Operate and maintain hardware and high pressure systems; acquire necessary licenses/certifications as required.
• Travel to support engine operations.
