Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense tech leader, seeks a Rapid Integration Engineer to drive rapid prototyping and iterative development of autonomous systems. You will integrate hardware and software on unmanned vehicles and work with cross‑functional teams to turn concepts into working early‑stage products.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 3+ years with ArduPilot, and hands-on prototyping with 3D printing and composites; travel and documentation are essential elements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution; advanced degree preferred.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with open source autopilot systems and ArduPilot.
• Ability to travel as needed for project planning, testing, and execution.
• Experience with rapid prototyping, 3D printing, laser cutting, and composites.
• Strong fundamentals in aerodynamics, flight performance, structures and GNC.
• Knowledge of NAS and UAS operating regulations.
• Experience operating and testing small UAS or drones.
• Proven engineering problem-solving skills and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, construction, and testing of UAS prototypes for early-stage products.
• Integrate hardware components onto unmanned vehicles, including sensors and control systems.
• Ensure seamless communication between hardware and software; troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to prototype and test solutions.
• Develop and execute test plans; conduct feasibility studies and performance evaluations.
• Document design processes and maintain engineering records.
