Job summary

Prairie Meadows is recruiting for a rapid response security team member to protect guests and staff at Iowa’s No. 1 entertainment destination. You’ll be first on scene for emergencies, patrolling to deter threats and safeguard assets.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 21+ years old, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and completion of required weapons and defensive tactics training. Compensation is $24.50/hour with flexible pay options.

• Must meet Iowa Racing & Gaming Commission suitability standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security over assigned areas by observing guests and watching for unlawful or suspicious acts.
• Safeguard casino assets and protect guests and employees.
• Survey outdoor areas near the racetrack to ensure restricted area access is prevented.
• Analyze situations and take appropriate action, including armed response when justified.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
