Job summary

Trinity Health Livingston is seeking a Part-time RN for the Rapid Response / SWAT Team on the night shift in Brighton, MI. The RN evaluates deteriorating patients, stabilizes them, and delivers care per hospital standards.

Requirements include MI RN license, BSN within five years or agreement to obtain, current BLS & ACLS, and 2+ years in ICU/CCU/ED settings. Schedule: 12 hours per week (.3 FTE) on night shift.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license.
• BSN degree or commitment to obtain within five years.
• 2+ years nursing experience (ICU/ED preferred).
• BLS and ACLS current.
• Ability to assess rapid response criteria.

Responsibilities

• Admissions – enter and initiate admission orders and profile.
• Documentation – document in Epic and other forms.
• IV therapy – assess, insert and monitor IV issues.
• Vascular access – assess ports/PICC lines and dressings.
• Rapid Response – evaluate, stabilize, and monitor during emergencies.
• Communication – organize information for physician.
• Education – educate staff on Rapid Response policy.
• Care coordination – coordinate complex medical care.
• Patient transfer – assist transfer to higher level of care.
• Collaboration – communicate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, case managers.
• Patient experience – prioritize patient experience; deliver care.
• Maintain clinical knowledge for critical care and rapid response.
