Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a skilled RN for the Rapid Response Team. You will deliver advanced critical care at the bedside, promptly intervene for deteriorating patients, and support frontline staff across the hospital. A strong emphasis on patient safety and timely action per unit protocols is central to the role.

Minimum requirements include an approved nursing program graduate, 1 year RN experience, and Texas license (or BNE Compact). ICU or ED experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program.
• 1 year of RN experience.
• Preferred: 3+ years ICU or strong Emergency Department experience.
• Current Texas license (or BNE Compact State).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and NIHSS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate, expert intervention for patients showing signs of deterioration.
• Serve as a trusted resource for frontline staff hospital-wide.
• Document assessments and care plans clearly and accurately.
• Prioritize nursing interventions based on patient condition and bleeding edge data.

Education
