Job summary

Seacrest Behavioral Health is seeking a Registered Nurse – Rapid Response to provide expert, immediate bedside intervention for deteriorating patients across hospital units in Waynesville, NC. You will perform rapid assessment, stabilization, and initiate critical care protocols to support timely escalation of care.

In this role, you will lead rapid response teams, collaborate with physicians and code teams, document findings, and educate staff on early recognition and rapid response practices

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure.
• Strong clinical judgment in acute deterioration and critical care interventions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary emergency response teams.
• Proficiency with monitoring equipment and healthcare technology.
• Thorough documentation skills and commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to lead/coach others and support staff development.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, manage deterioration, and stabilize using advanced monitoring and technology.
• Initiate and follow evidence-based critical care/rapid response protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and code teams during emergencies and ensure coordinated care.
• Educate and support staff; assist with de-escalation when needed.
• Document clinical findings and actions accurately and promptly.
• Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and mentor unit nurses on early recognition and rapid response practices.
