Job summary

Fortify Companies seeks a Mitigation Technician in Portsmouth, NH to provide emergency restoration services for fire, water, mold, and storm damage. You will stabilize properties, prevent further damage, and deliver professional, compassionate service on the front lines.

You will work in a field-based, full-time role with a team focused on safety, urgency, and customer care, contributing to rapid recoveries and trusted service during stressful times.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain IICRC certification.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset.
• Valid driving record and reliable attendance.
• Ability to document work using PSA and industry software.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess damage.
• Perform water extraction and structural drying per IICRC standards.
• Remove and dispose of damaged materials safely.
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize spaces.
• Document progress with photos and notes in PSA.
• Coordinate with project managers and crew.
