Job summary

Rapides Regional Medical Center, a 350+ bed hospital in Alexandria, LA, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to coordinate and deliver high quality patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

You will assess pain, document care, respond promptly to requests, and educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cours within 2 years of start date.
• PALS within 6 months of start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 2 years of start date.
• Graduate/Provisional Nurse or Registered Nurse.
• RN with diploma, associate or bachelor degree.
• Acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
• Assess and manage patient pain and document care.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and educate patients and families.
• Educate patients on condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up.
• Teach lifestyle changes and prepare for future self-management.
