Job description

Airframe/Engine Technician - RRT

The Airframe/Engine Technician - RRT travels to customer locations to perform on-wing inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on engines and APUs on various corporate jets across the U.S. and internationally. This role involves interacting with customers and collaborating with Duncan team members to deliver exceptional customer service and rapid response 24/7.

Duncan Aviation's Rapid Response Team positions support our AOG/RRT Network, typically working out of one of our Fixed Base Locations or remotely, depending on needs. These positions are not entry-level; work is performed independently with minimal oversight. New A&P mechanics are encouraged to apply for positions at our MRO locations to gain experience on corporate aircraft before joining the RRT.

Minimum Requirements
  • Must have an A&P certificate
  • Experience working on engines such as Honeywell TFE731, CFE738, HTF7000 Series, Pratt & Whitney 300, 500, 600 & JT15 Series, Williams FJ44 Series, GE CF34 Series, Rolls Royce BR700 Series
Essential Job Functions
  1. Perform inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, function tests, and returns to service of aircraft engines and APUs according to specifications, FAA regulations, and Duncan procedures. Act as an RII Inspector.
  2. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of engine and project work, including reports, work orders, and invoices.
  3. Develop and maintain customer relationships, communicate with sales and marketing, and seek engine service opportunities to meet financial goals.
  4. Manage all aspects of assigned engine projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency from pre-planning to delivery.
  5. Manage parts inventory, calibration of tools, and support vehicle conditions.
  6. Be available to provide ongoing service and serve as a point of contact outside scheduled hours.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • FAA-licensed A&P in good standing
  • Minimum four years of corporate aviation maintenance experience
  • Previous lead or AOG maintenance experience in corporate flight or MRO environments
Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Own basic tools; Duncan provides specific tool lists
  • Regular attendance, travel required
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely and 100 lbs. occasionally; work in confined spaces, heights, and noisy environments
