Job summary

Concentra is seeking an EMT to provide emergency medical and trauma care in various settings, triage patients, and deliver high-quality care per established protocols. The role emphasizes efficient, one-on-one patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a welcoming and respectful experience.

Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, performing screenings, dispensing medications and DME, and coordinating with medical staff for patient handoffs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with accredited degree preferred.
• EMT certification required per state regulations; CPR/First Aid essential.
• Experience in emergency medical care and trauma response preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical and trauma care in diverse settings following protocols.
• Perform triage and deliver urgent care, ensuring high-quality patient service.
• Prepare patients for exams: vitals, vaccines, phlebotomy, tests as requested.
• Possibly perform DOT and non-DOT drug/alcohol testing; training provided.
• Dispense medications and DME per clinician orders and regulations.
• Administer first aid, oxygen, IVs; manage minor wounds and resuscitation.
• Communicate with emergency facility staff for patient handoff and instructions.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and clinic cleanliness; conduct basic QA.
• Follow HIPAA and safety rules; participate in safety meetings.
• Assist wellness activities and support a welcoming environment.
• Ensure efficient wait times information is conveyed to patients.
