Job summary

Concentra, Inc. in Des Moines, IA is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for a full-time evening shift. You will provide emergency medical and trauma care, perform triage, and deliver rapid, protocol-driven treatment in a fast-paced environment.

You will take vital signs, assist treating clinicians, monitor patients, and help ensure a welcoming, respectful experience for every patient while keeping accurate records and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician or Advanced EMT
• Must meet credentials in the state of employment in accordance with state requirements and applicable regulations
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Drug Screen Collection, Breath Alcohol Certification, and Hair and Oral Fluids Collection certifications a plus
• OSHA safety certifications or experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical and trauma care to patients in various settings following established protocols
• Perform triage and provide urgent care to patients with efficiency and accuracy
• Dispense medications and DME as ordered by the treating clinician and in accordance with state regulations and standing orders
• Maintain supplies, clean equipment and onsite clinic
• Communicate with professional medical personnel at emergency treatment facility to obtain instructions regarding further treatment
• Maintain and operate medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping
