Job summary

Community Health Network in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Consultation Nurse for rapid response and code blue coverage in CVICU. The role includes monitoring and rounding on non-ICU patients, mentoring CVPCU nurses, and occasional PRN ICU shifts to maintain ICU skills.

The ideal candidate brings 1 year of acute care, 3 years CVICU experience with at least 2 years of precepting, plus strong communication and teamwork, compassionate care, and Indiana RN licensure. EPIC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN/CCNE/ACEN or NLN CNEA accredited nursing program.
• Licensed RN in Indiana with a valid license (NLC).
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year acute care; CVICU experience with 2 years precepting preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Compassionate, caring, and accountable.
• EPIC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, evaluate and round on all hospital patients outside the ICU.
• Serve as educational mentor and teaching resource for inexperienced cardiac PCU nurses.
• PRN ICU shifts to maintain ICU nursing skills (approx. two shifts per six-week schedule).
