Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN seeks a Critical Care Rapid Response and Code Registered Nurse for nights (7pm-7am) on a PRN basis. This role focuses on rapid assessment, stabilization, and coordination for patients in acute deterioration within a 16-bed adult ICU.

Required qualifications include a BSN, Indiana RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, NIHSS, CCRN and NRP certifications, plus at least 1 year of ICU experience. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Current Indiana or compact state RN license required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• ACLS Certification required.
• PALS Certification required.
• NIHSS Stroke Certification required.
• CCRN Certification required (obtained within 1 year of hire).
• NRP Certification required (obtained within 1 year of hire).
• Minimum of one year of prior critical care nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate clinical response, assessment, stabilization, and care coordination for inpatients with acute deterioration, rapid response, stroke or sepsis events, and cardiopulmonary emergencies.
• Support bedside staff, providers, respiratory therapy, house managers, and other interdisciplinary partners to promote early recognition of decline, timely intervention, and safe escalation to a higher level of care.
• Collaborate with the ICU team to ensure seamless patient care and transitions as needed.
