Job summary

IOP Hospitality is seeking a Food Runner to provide fast, attentive service in the dining room, ensuring food is served promptly and presented to guests with accuracy. You will follow safety procedures, maintain cleanliness, and communicate guest needs effectively throughout your shift.

Responsibilities include assisting servers, describing menu items to guests, and upholding a high standard of service from seating to plate presentation.

• Maintain and use all safety procedures and practices.
• Report unsafe conditions to the Restaurant Manager.
• Be on time and ready to work for all shifts.
• Adhere to designated schedule.
• Be clean and well groomed and follow the dress code.
• Practice safe and sanitary food handling.
• Keep work areas clean, neat, and organized (CNO).
• Use proper equipment for the job.
• Understand opening side work, service duties, and closing tasks.
• Know all tables and seat numbers to present and introduce food to guests.
• Serve food from the left and clear from the right; place proteins at 6 o'clock position.
• Provide attentive, first-class service for all guests.
• Ensure consistent taste and presentation of all items.
• Present and describe all food items to guests at the table.
• Wipe plate edges before leaving the kitchen.
• Maintain upbeat disposition during shifts.
• Communicate guest needs to the server and manager promptly.
• Inform the manager about any guest dissatisfaction immediately.
• Offer help wherever possible.
• Follow the training guidelines in the food runner manual.
