Job summary

Loews Miami Beach Hotel is hiring a Host/Hostess to warmly greet guests, manage reservations, and guide guests to tables while maintaining a welcoming, efficient dining experience.

You will collaborate with servers and managers to ensure smooth service, handle inquiries, and support a positive guest journey across a high-energy dining environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant hosting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using the hotel's reservation system.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Communicate estimated wait times and accommodate seating requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
• Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries regarding hours, menus, and reservations.
• Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor dining room flow and adjust seating plans as needed.
• Assist with guest recovery and resolve minor concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Follow all hotel policies and procedures to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
• Regular and reliable attendance in conformance with company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
