Job summary

Thompson Hine LLP, an AmLaw 200 firm, seeks a Rankings, Awards & Media Relations Coordinator to join the Marketing & Strategy team in Washington, D.C. The role supports strategy for awards, surveys, league tables, and directory submissions, including Chambers and Legal 500, driving visibility and market recognition.

Reporting to the Director of Public Relations, you will craft submissions, coordinate interviews, manage calendars, track deadlines, and amplify results across internal and external

Qualifications

• Experience in a large law firm or professional services environment preferred.
• Knowledge of legal directories and awards (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500, The American Lawyer)
• 3–5 years of law firm marketing/communications focusing on rankings and submissions
• Excellent writing and editing with strong project management and attention to detail
• Willingness to work extended hours to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Manage strategy and execution for the firm’s awards, surveys, and directory submissions.
• Own the Directories & Rankings calendar and tracking to ensure timely submissions.
• Research new opportunities and assess value/fit for participation.
• Draft compelling narratives and coordinate interviews with researchers.
• Coordinate inputs, approvals, and deadlines; maintain a submissions tracking system.
