Job summary

Thompson Hine LLP is seeking a Rankings, Awards & Media Relations Coordinator to support awards, surveys, league tables, and directory submissions (Chambers, The Legal 500, etc.) within the Marketing & Strategy department. The role involves crafting compelling submissions, coordinating interviews, managing deadlines, and amplifying results across channels.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Solid project management capabilities and ability to handle multiple deadlines.
• Experience in large law firm or professional services preferred.
• Knowledge of legal directories and awards (Chambers, The Legal 500, etc.).
• 3–5 years of law firm marketing/communications experience, preferably supporting rankings and submissions.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to work extended hours to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develops and submits high-impact entries for awards, surveys, and directories.
• Manages the Directories & Rankings calendar, deadlines, and submission status.
• Drafts compelling narratives highlighting firm and attorney achievements.
• Coordinates interviews with researchers and prep materials.
• Maintains submissions database and analyzes trends to guide strategy.
• Liaisons with directory editors, researchers, and publishers to improve rankings.
• Promotes rankings and awards across internal and external channels.
