Shoot Smart Co. in White Settlement, Texas is seeking a Range Guide I to assist customers with transactions, range safety responsibilities, and special events. The role involves helping shooters, selling rentals and gear, and creating a fun, safe atmosphere on the range.

The position requires a full-time schedule including evenings, weekends, and some holidays, with training at an established location until the new store opens. Must be 18+ and capable of lifting 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.

• Firearms proficiency and basic knowledge a plus.
• Ability to obtain NRA Range Safety Officer certification and NRA Pistol Trainer certifications (Shoot Smart will assist).

Range Guide I - West Fort Worth

Shoot Smart is a family-owned business with four awesome locations across the Metroplex. Will train at an established location until new store opens.

Availability: Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Hours: This position requires a full-time commitment of at least 32 hours per week, which includes weekends and certain holidays. While we aim to provide scheduling flexibility, weekend availability is mandatory. Please note that we will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Job Summary:

The Range Guide is the ultimate go-between for our awesome customers who come to shoot, buy products, or join in on training. You'll handle customer transactions, perform range safety officer duties, and have a blast at special events and leagues. Your goal is too blow our customers' minds at Shoot Smart, so they keep coming back for more and spread the word to their friends and family.

Key Duties:

• Learn and proficiently operate the point of sale system while demonstrating excellent customer service skills
• Directly sell lane rental, firearm rental, shooting accessories, and retail items
• Guide customers through the Shoot Smart experience by helping them have a safe, fun time
• Maintain range safety and ensure compliance with all policies
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the range by completing all tasks assigned by supervisors in a timely and efficient manner

Requirements:

• High school diploma
• Experience in retail sales or customer service preferred
• Firearms proficiency and basic knowledge a plus
• Ability to obtain NRA Range Safety Officer certification, NRA Pistol Trainer certifications, and Red Cross First Aid certification (Shoot Smart will assist with necessary certifications).
• Excellent customer service skills and strong persuasion abilities
• Proven ability to operate a cash register
• Experience or training in the safe operation, storage, and troubleshooting of firearms
• Computer literacy
• Ability to lift 25 lbs or more and standing for long durations
• Demonstrate the five core values of Shoot Smart
