Job summary

Foster Farms is seeking an entry-level ranch operations assistant to support day-to-day tasks on the ranch and fryers. You will handle feeding, mortality removal, equipment checks and sanitation, ensuring smooth daily operations.

You will assist with the grow-out program—monitoring temperatures, ventilation, mortality, vaccinations and medications to meet high quality standards and productivity. Occasional overtime and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good mathematical and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move 25 pounds.
• Basic English verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to learn supervisory and leadership skills.
• Ability to work overtime, evenings, holidays and weekends.
• Willingness to work at other ranches as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operations of the ranch and its fryers: feeding, mortality removal, equipment adjustments, sanitation.
• Assist grow-out program to meet high standards of quality and productivity (brooding, temperatures, ventilation, mortality, vaccination, meds).
• Coordinate feed deliveries and maintain feed/fuel inventories; ensure proper growing methods and facility upkeep.
• Maintain sanitation and disease protection procedures; uphold safety, animal welfare and bio-security; report issues to Ranch Manager or Field Supervisor.
