Job summary

Foster Farms seeks a hands-on helper to support daily ranch operations and its fryers, including feeding, mortality removal, equipment adjustments, and sanitation. You will assist with the grow-out program to ensure high-quality vaccinations, temperatures, ventilation, and mortality management for optimal productivity.

The role requires basic English, strong math and organizational skills, and the ability to lift 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good mathematical and organizational skills.
• Able to lift and move 25 pounds.
• Preferably mechanical aptitude.
• Good verbal and written communication skills (Basic English).
• Possess or learn supervisory and leadership skills.
• Willing to work overtime, evenings, holidays and weekends.
• Willing to work at other ranches/complexes as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day operations of the ranch and its fryers, including feeding, mortality removal, equipment adjustments, and sanitation.
• Assist with the grow-out program to meet high quality and productivity standards in housing, temperature, ventilation, mortality, vaccination, and medication.
• Coordinate feed deliveries and maintain accurate feed and fuel inventories; ensure proper growing methods and upkeep of facilities and equipment.
• Learn and assist with sanitation and disease protection procedures; uphold industrial safety, animal welfare, and bio-security; report issues to the Ranch Manager or Field Supervisor.
