Job summary

George's cattle operation in Springdale, Arkansas is seeking a Ranch Hand to assist in tractor and skidsteer operation, fence building, land and facility maintenance, and basic cattle care when needed.

This role requires a high school diploma and at least 3 years of work experience; background and driving record checks must be passed; preferred experience with hay production, fence building, equipment operation, and welding.

Qualifications

• Cattle care and handling experience a plus.
• Basic welding experience may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors and skidsteers for land and facility tasks.
• Build and repair fences; brush-hog and mow; spray fence-rows.
• Perform basic facility maintenance and hay production equipment operation.
• Handle cattle care and feeding as needed by the cattle crew.
• Haul and gather/sort cattle; assist with shipments as required.

SUMMARY:

The Ranch Hand will assist in all aspects of work in the George's cattle operation. This role will primarily focus on tractor and skidsteer operation, fence building/repair and land and facility maintenance. Supplementally, this role will assist with cattle care when needed from the cattle crew.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Land and Facility Maintenance Building and repairing fences
• Brush-hogging
• Mowing, weed-eating, fence-row spraying
• Basic facility maintenance
• Hay Production Equipment operation (tractors, skidsteers, sprayers, implements, etc.)
• Basic equipment maintenance
• Cattle Production Feeding
• Hauling
• Gathering/sorting/shipping as needed
