T E C Industrial Inc is seeking a Prep Cook to support our culinary team. You will prep ingredients, maintain a clean, organized workstation, and follow recipes to help the Chef deliver quality meals.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires accuracy, speed, good verbal communication, and adherence to safety standards. California Food Handler card and Health Certificate are required.

Qualifications

  • Cooking and kitchen experience.
  • California Food Handler card.
  • Employee Health Certificate.
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and portion ingredients (e.g., chopping vegetables, cutting meat, preparing sauces).
  • Follow standardized recipes and kitchen procedures.
  • Label and store food items properly to ensure freshness.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Assist in basic cooking tasks as needed.
  • Comply with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Support other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.

Summary/Objective

As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients and maintaining a clean and organized workstation to support the Chef and ensure smooth kitchen operations . The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

Essential Functions
