Job summary

Menzies Aviation Limited is seeking a Ramp Supervisor in Oklahoma City to lead ramp staff, allocate resources, and uphold safety and security standards. The role requires airline experience, physical stamina, and a commitment to reliable operations.

You will mentor team members, conduct training, and participate in interviews and performance reviews while ensuring compliance with company procedures and policies. This position is on-site and requires flexibility for shifts.

Qualifications

• Prior Ramp/Airline experience required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs repeatedly.
• Must be able to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Read and signed Station Quality Manual and related procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lead agents; allocate ramp resources as needed.
• Move cargo and baggage between aircraft and facilities.
• Ensure ramp personnel follow safety regulations.
• Mentor and train new employees; conduct interviews and performance reviews.
• Complete shift reports and sign timecards; assist in evaluating staff.
• Prepare disciplinary reports as needed; assist baggage handling area.
• Conduct shift briefings; ensure staff are organized and informed.
• Operate motorized equipment and read loading instructions.

Job description

• Supervise lead agents; allocating ramp agent resources as needed
• Move cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals, air cargo facilities, and other aircraft
• Ensure that ramp personnel adhere to established company safety regulations
• Perform as a mentor to other employees and provide training to new employees
• Some responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems as needed for violations of company policy
• Complete shift reports and sign timecards
• Assist in the preparation of performance evaluation forms
• Prepare disciplinary incident and or termination reports
• Assist in the baggage handling area
• Conduct shift briefings to ensure staff is organized and informed
• Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags
• Operate motorized equipment

What we are looking for:

• Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English
• Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively
• Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
• Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal
• To report any significant deficiency in our products, materials and documents
• Hastheduty to suggestany improvementsto working practices, especially those relating to Safety and security
• Must have read and signed the Station Quality Manual, Emergency Response Procedures Manual and the Station Security Manual.
• Must have high school diploma, GED
