Trego-Dugan Aviation Inc. is seeking a Ramp Service Agent to support flight operations at Detroit. You will load and unload baggage, marshal aircraft, and use ground service equipment while meeting flights and assisting customers with special needs when required.
The role requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays, with safety and communication as priorities. Training is provided; 18+ with a valid license and background check are needed.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Hours will vary based upon flight schedules. Number of weekly hours may increase or decrease due to seasonal flight changes.
The Ramp Service Agent is responsible for the handling of customer luggage, including loading and unloading baggage on and off the aircraft, marshaling and pushing back aircraft, operating ground service equipment (GSE), meeting arriving flights and servicing departing flights, assisting customers with special needs, assisting customer service agents as needed, and any other assigned duties.
Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment. Must be able to carry a 70-pound suitcase from the floor to 18 inches and carry 70-pound suitcase in front of you with both hands for up to 25 feet; must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time. Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.
Airport environment: Indoors and outdoors. Extreme outdoor conditions where extreme temperature ranges may be encountered.
MUST be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
