Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) is seeking a Ramp Service Agent in Seattle to handle essential ramp tasks such as loading and unloading baggage, marshalling aircraft, and water servicing. The role emphasizes safety and adherence to procedures. The position operates under a collective bargaining agreement with the TWU union.

Responsibilities include aircraft marshalling, bag/cargo handling, and ground support equipment operation. Strong focus on safety and team coordination is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• A valid Driver's License.
• Ability to lift and handle heavy baggage and cargo (up to 50 lbs or more).
• Fluently read, write, and speak the English language.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and flight crews.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operating ground support equipment.
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with airport security regulations.

Responsibilities

• Marshall aircraft upon arrival and departure.
• Load and unload baggage and cargo on and off aircraft.
• Safely drive and operate ground support equipment, including belt loaders and tugs to pick-up and deliver baggage and cargo between the terminal and aircraft.
• Perform ground service functions, such as connecting/removing ground power and ground start units and water service.
• Perform aircraft pushback, wing walking and related guide man functions.
• Maintain a secure work environment.
