Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. is seeking a Ramp Supervisor at Sonoma Co Airport in Santa Rosa, CA. You will oversee a ramp team, ensure safe aircraft handling, and coordinate baggage, towing, and servicing tasks to achieve timely turnarounds.

Responsibilities include training staff, enforcing safety and DOT regulations, and maintaining communications with flight crews and ground operations to support efficient operations.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States.
• Must hold a valid driver's license and communicate in English.
• Minimum 2 years in ramp operations or aviation field and supervisory experience.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen and obtain required credentials.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise ramp team operations including aircraft loading and unloading.
• Coordinate ramp activities to ensure timely flight turnarounds.
• Train and mentor ramp staff on procedures and safety protocols.
• Monitor compliance with airline, airport, and DOT regulations.
• Lead pre-shift briefings and assign daily tasks.
• Manage baggage, cargo, and mail handling to prevent loss or damage.
• Communicate with flight crews and ground operations for smooth operations.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of ground support equipment.
• Enforce safety measures and hazard prevention on the ramp.
• Respond quickly to operational issues and emergencies.
• Foster teamwork to meet schedules and service standards.
• Evaluate performance and provide feedback to ramp team members.
• Maintain records of ramp operations and incidents for compliance.
• Coordinate with other airport departments as needed.
• Promote safety and professionalism in daily activities.
• Adhere to all applicable DOT guidelines and updates.
