Inland Deicing Services, LLC is hiring a Ramp Agent for Cathay Operations at Portland International (PDX).

This part-time role supports safe and efficient aircraft services, cargo handling, and passenger movement to help on-time departures. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must read, write and understand English.
• Must be able to obtain SIDA badge and pass drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely, build and break down cargo pallets and containers.
• Safely operate and be certified on required ramp equipment.
• Verify shipment pieces, weights, dimensions and air waybill numbers.
• Ensure security documents are obtained for shipments.
• Maintain safety and quality while moving passengers and cargo.

Including build up and break down of cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines• Holds equipment certifications and operates equipment safely• Obtains proper security documents for all shipments• Verifies upon receipt from customer shipment pieces, weight, dimensions and airworthiness• Verifies upon delivery to customer shipment pieces and airway bill numbersRequired Skills and Experience:• High school diploma or equivalent preferred• Maintain and treat all information as confidential• Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives• Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English• Must be able to verbally direct in English• A valid driver’s license is required for this positionWork Environment:• Warehouse - physically strenuous, prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive at times), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment• Outdoor - prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes and noise, in or around heavy equipment and moving vehiclesPhysical Demands:• Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms;• Must be able to speak and hear efficiently• Able to lift, push, pull up to 75 pounds at times• Ability to climb ladders of up to 15 feet in height• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing and pullingThe Inland Group of Companies offers a variety of opportunities to work in the field of aviation.
