Quantem Aviation Services is seeking a Lead Aircraft Ramp Agent for the PM shift at Portland International Airport (PDX). You will coach a team, monitor safety standards, and ensure timely loading and unloading of freight and baggage while delivering high-level customer service.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, English proficiency, and a valid driver’s license; prior ramp or aviation experience is valued.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English.
• Must be able to direct in English verbally.
• A valid driver’s license is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all safety standards are met and maintained.
• Properly and safely loads and unloads freight including build up and break down of cargo pallets and freight containers.
• Protects freight from elements, damage, and vandalism.
• Operates equipment safely and holds necessary certifications.

Leads monitor and report any extraordinary performance or deviations from operational standards. As a Lead Ramp Agent, you will work as part of a team delivering safe and efficient aircraft services while providing the highest level of customer service and keeping passengers and aircraft moving safely and on time.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):• Ensures all QAS and customer safety standards are met and maintained• Properly and safely loads and unloads freight. Including build up and break down of cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines• Protects freight from elements, damage, and vandalism• Holds equipment certifications and operates equipment safely• Must successfully complete all training classesRequired Skills and Experience:• High school diploma or equivalent• Maintain and treat all information as confidential• Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives• Must be able to read, write, understand, and carry out instructions in English• Must be able to direct in English verbally• A valid driver’s license is required for this positionWork Environment:• Physically strenuous, prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive at times), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment;• Prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes, and noise in or around heavy equipment and moving vehicles.Physical Demands:• Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak and hear efficiently• Able to lift, push, pull up to 75 pounds at times• Ability to climb ladders of up to 15 feet in height• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling**The Inland Group of Companies maintains a drug-free workplace.
