Job summary

Menzies Aviation is hiring a full-time Ramp Agent to support timely flight operations by handling baggage and cargo, guiding aircraft, and maintaining loading records. The role requires physical work, outdoor conditions, and strict safety compliance, with training provided as needed.

Candidates must be 18+, hold a High School diploma or GED (or ramp experience), pass a drug test, have a valid driver’s license, and be available for flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED (or six months ramp experience).
• Must pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test.
• Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs. repeatedly.
• Must be able to read, speak and write in English.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no major violations in the past 5 years.
• Must be available for variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Work is outdoors; comfortable in all weather conditions.
• Must obtain and maintain required airport badges/seals.

Responsibilities

• Move cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and between areas.
• Operate motorized equipment as required.
• Read and follow aircraft weight/balance loading instructions and related labels.
• Maintain records of shipped goods and cargo routing tags.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Role Purpose

Menzies Aviation is seeking a full-time diligent Ramp Agent to join our Team. The Ramp Agent plays an important role in ensuring that flights run on time by maintaining detailed records of shipped goods, moving baggage and cargo from aircraft, and guiding aircraft to and from their gates.

What you will be doing

• Comfortably and continuously lift/move 70 lbs. of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals and air cargo facilities.
• Frequent bending, stretching push/pulling, stacking and kneeling in small, confined locations.
• Operate motorized equipment.
• Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have high school diploma, GED or six months prior ramp agent work experience.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test.
• Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs. continuously.
• Must be able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English proficiently.
• Must have a current driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Work is done primarily outdoors. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals.
