Menzies Aviation in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Ramp Agent to unload and load luggage, freight, and cargo on and off aircraft, and to perform routine cabin cleaning and vehicle operation. The role requires heavy lifting, outdoor work in all weather, and strict adherence to safety and security policies.

Applicants must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, pass pre-employment tests including a drug screen, and hold a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have high school diploma, GED or six months ramp experience.
• Must pass pre-employment testing, including a drug test.
• Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
• Must read/write/speak English proficiently.
• Must hold a valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Unload/load 70 lbs of cargo on/off aircraft and move it between locations.
• Operate motorized equipment and small vehicles.
• Read weight/balance loading instructions and manifests.
• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are stored/maintained safely.
• Follow TSA and security procedures and wear required PPE.
• Work outdoors and tolerate all weather conditions.
• Be flexible to work variable shifts including weekends/holidays.

Role Purpose

Unloading and loading of luggage, freight and cargo on and off commercial aircraft, in the outbound bag room and the baggage claim area as well as safe and efficient cleaning of aircraft cabins. Driving and operating small specialized commercial vehicles. Positionrequiresheavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching and frequent kneeling.

What you will be doing

• Comfortably and continuously lift/move 70 lbs. of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals and air cargo facilities.
• Frequent bending, stretching push/pulling, stacking and kneeling insmall, confinedlocations.
• Operate motorized equipmentandsmall specialized commercial vehicles
• Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags.
• Remove blankets and pillows and replace them with clean ones
• Ensure all cleaning solvents are stored correctly after use
• Ensure that all cleaning equipment is in working order and that all protective clothing is worn as instructed
• Deposit all soiled linens into laundry bins
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures
• Conduct physical search of emptyinteriorsand accessible exterior of the aircraft to detect prohibited articles and unlawful interferences that may jeopardize the security of the aircraft.
• Provide ramp guard services to ensure that only authorized personnel are servicing the aircraft.
• Follow all TSA, airline, local and/or federal security mandates regarding security and reporting any tampering and prohibited items.

What we are looking for:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have high school diploma, GED or six months prior ramp agent work experience.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test.
• Capable of safelyliftingupto 70 lbs. continuously;
• Must be able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English proficiently.
• Must have current driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Work is done primarily outdoors. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals;
