Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Group in Raleigh, NC. This position offers opportunities to apply the latest technology to help our clients solve challenging problems and grow professionally.

As an entry-level hire, you will work on design of horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage, erosion control, and traffic schemes for diverse projects alongside a team of professionals. FE preferred and MS Office skills are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in Transportation) required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency using MicroStation required; Geopak and OpenRoads experience preferred.
• Experience working on NCDOT plans in design-bid-build or design-build delivery preferred.
• Working knowledge of NCDOT standards preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office software.
• Desire to work in a team environment.
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design of horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage systems, erosion and sediment control.
• Development of maintenance and protection of traffic schemes.
• Preparation of construction and right-of-way acquisition plans for various project types and clients.
