The role involves planning, modeling, permitting, and design, mentoring staff, coordinating with clients and agencies, and contributing to proposals. A ABET-accredited civil/environmental degree and NC PE license are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from ABET program; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5–10 years of progressive water resources experience.
• Active North Carolina PE license preferred.
• NCDOT hydraulics and erosion/sediment control design experience.
• Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and storm drainage design.

Aufgaben

• Support planning, analysis, design, and permitting of water resources for transportation projects.
• Prepare final engineering plans, reports, specs, and cost estimates.
• Mentor junior engineering staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; assist with proposals.
